Joree Rose, MA, LMFT: The Science Behind Mindfulness | Doing Well #8

Most individuals argue that being in their authentic self is overrated. However, it is ideal to lead ourselves into the most fulfilling life possible. Through Mindfulness people tend to benefit a lot from it from improving their well-being, to improving their physical health, it gives a holistic development in the emotional, physical, social, and mental growth of the person. 

In this new episode of Doing Well: Wellbeing Science Insights Podcast, Our host, Lu Ngo, talks to icensed marriage and family therapist, Joree Rose, MA, LMFT. Joree is also a mindfulness and meditation teacher, coach, author, and speaker. She led mindfulness retreats called “By Bay Area Mindfulness and Therapy Center” in Danville, CA. She has helped thousands of people to live happier and more fulfilling lives by living with greater awareness and compassion, which resulted in decreasing stress and anxiety.

The conversation starts by getting to know Joree through her favorite book, then deep diving into the importance of mindfulness. The audience learns how mindfulness can significantly impact our lives.

Her second book, "Mindfulness, It’s Elementary”, is a 12-lesson guide to having a teacher, school counselor, therapist, or parent walk children through cultivating a mindfulness practice.
